Sunday's stats:
Early morning low temp: 52.3F (11.3C)
Afternoon high temp: 59.5F (15.3C)
Rainfall: none
Our sky is in the process of clearing this evening after a mix of clouds and sun this afternoon, and mostly cloudy conditions during the morning. It looks like there were some light snow showers up along the Dhauladars today, but I'm not aware of any precipitation at all down here in the realm of human habitation. There could have been a few light sprinkles somewhere around the area, though. My high temp was the coolest of the season.
The upper-level disturbance responsible for the clouds today is now losing steam as it plows into southern Ladakh, and will continue weakening as is moves off to the east tonight. Cooler air is flowing in behind it -- and it looks likely that we'll see slightly chillier temps on average right through the week. It's still not terribly cold for this time of year, but we may be dropping a couple of degrees below normal.
Yet another disturbance will begin to affect us during the latter half of the week. Moisture remains extremely limited, but computer models are again showing the potential for some light rain/snow over the mountains of Himachal and Jammu/Kashmir as this disturbed weather hangs around for two or three days. We should still see some nice periods of sunshine around here in the midst of it all...
