*Update @ 2:29pm... It's gone gloomy on us again this afternoon. The sunshine we had on and off this morning boosted my temp to 67.1F (19.5C) around noon. But the clouds thickened up again, and there have even been a couple of brief light sprinkles/showers recently. We can't seem to win.
--------------------------------------------------------------
A gorgeous Saturday morning is getting started, with mostly clear skies at sunrise. My low temp in the upper part of town has been the mildest I've recorded this season -- at 55.4F (13.0C), and there has been no precipitation overnight. Humidity is currently 37%.
Cloudiness has been extremely variable and hard to keep track of recently, with lots of development and then dissipation as large patches of cirrus and some mid-level stratus travel over the top of the high pressure ridge in place over northern India. Though we have lots of sun here at the start of the day, it's likely that we'll have to deal with at least occasional cloudiness as the day wears on. Still, it's looking like a nice one, with temperatures near the warmest of the season and the year. There have been two days that I've recorded temps above 68F (20C) this year, back on the 16th and 17th of March (corresponding with Holi)-- and we should be close to that both today and tomorrow, as long as clouds don't spoil the show.
It's no surprise, I'm sure, that there is another disturbance on its way. Since the first week of February, we haven't been able to go more than about four days without at least some variety of wet weather, and it looks like that kind of back-and-forth pattern is not going to relent just yet. The chance of some showers and thunderstorms will begin to increase by tomorrow (Sun) afternoon, with the best chance of rain expected tomorrow night into Monday night. Scattered thundershowers are possible on Tuesday as well, with evidence of things calming down considerably by the middle of next week.
