*Update @ 9:01pm... By mid-February standards, it is a very cold night. My temp here in the upper part of town is 39.0 (3.9C), which equals the low temp of the day. Currently it's cloudy and foggy with a couple of light sprinkles of rain in the area. There is still a chance of some snowflakes overnight.

Monday's stats:
Low temp: 39.0F (3.9C)
High temp: 45.7F (7.6C)
Precipitation: trace
There are a few raindrops out there at sunset this evening, with some very changeable multi-layered clouds around. Apart from a nice burst of sunshine for about a half hour very late this afternoon, it has been a cloudy, grey and gloomy day, with temperatures moving little. In fact, it was several degrees colder than average for this stage of February, and my high temp was the coldest I've recorded since the 18th of January. Up to this point, there has been no measurable precip.
The center of a weak upper-level disturbance is scooting across northern Pakistan at the moment, and will cross northern India tonight into early Tuesday. Although there isn't really a significant moisture tap to feed this system, it is expected to stir up a few areas of light rain, sleet, and/or snow near us, and especially to our north and east during the next 12-18 hours or so. Amounts should be light for the most part (less than 0.20"/5mm), but it's something to keep an eye on. Also, temperatures aloft are downright frigid, so if a sustained period of precipitation does happen to develop, it could easily change into frozen form later tonight into tomorrow morning.
Some quiet and potentially brighter weather is in the forecast for Wednesday into Thursday, as a weak high pressure ridge builds across our area. We may even see the temperature get back around 50F/10C for the first time in more than a week. But -- any sunnier and milder weather will be very brief, as a strong storm system will introduce what looks to be a very good chance of widespread rain and snow on Friday and Saturday. We have strangely and mysteriously missed out on accumulating snowfall here in McLeod this winter season, but I have to say -- this next system will keep the chance alive.
