cue humidity. cue clouds. now, cue thunderstorms...? today has unfolded according to plan. very warm and increasingly humid this afternoon, with a gradual increase in clouds. some thunderheads are boiling just to our north and west this evening, as a nice ripple in the jetstream progresses in our direction. this upper-level disturbance will act on the heat and moisture already in place, and bring us a decent chance of some shower and thunderstorm activity through friday. temperatures will be significantly cooler tomorrow (friday), but since it's the end of may, expect the heat to quickly race back in. we could be seeing more extreme heat by the first part of next week.
