sunday 2 may 2010

this is the time of the year when the sweltering heat down on the plains tries to bump up against the milder air hanging over the mountains. it only takes a bit of moisture, a pocket of colder air up around 15,000ft, and maybe some twisiting of the jetstream-level winds to crank up a round of thunderstorms. this is the kind of pattern we'll see throughout the coming week... plenty of sunshine and warm temps, but also the possibility of mainly afternoon and night-time thunderstorms passing through.

SUNDAY: warm with plenty of sun. a late day thundershower is possible.
high: 28C (82F)

SUNDAY NIGHT: a random, passing shower or thunderstorm. otherwise partly cloudy.
low: 19C (66F)

MONDAY: a mix of sun and clouds. warmer, with the risk of a thunderstorm.
high: 29C (84F)

TUESDAY: mostly sunny with just a small chance of a thundershower.
high: 29C (84F)

WEDNESDAY: increasing chances of some occasional showers or storms. not as warm.
high: 27C (81F)

THURSDAY: partly cloudy with a few thunderstorms around...
high: 27C (80F)
