wednesday evening>

after 40 hours of nearly continuous rain... we are getting a beautiful respite this evening. the total rainfall from 930pm monday night until around 1pm this afternoon was 5.7" (14.5cm). the satellite pic shows clear to partly cloudy skies across all of himachal pradesh this evening... but there is an area of rain and thundershowers to our south across southern punjab, haryana and northern rajasthan. there is a chance that some of that action could drift northward into our area overnight, but upper-level winds are almost calm... which means there will be very little movement of this area of precipitation. be on the lookout for a redevelopment of clouds, fog and rain tomorrow... with rain chances gradually increasing again as we head into the weekend. the high temp hit 21c/69f this afternoon with the return of some sunshine... and we expect slightly warmer temps (but increasing mugginess) both tomorrow and friday.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: partly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of some showers developing after midnight.
low: 17C (63F)

THURSDAY: some sunshine in the morning... but then increasing clouds and fog, with a good chance of some rain and thundershowers by the early afternoon.
high: 21C (70F)

FRIDAY: partly to mostly cloudy with occasional rainshowers. fog possible at times.
high: 22C (72F)

SATURDAY: a little sun... otherwise mostly cloudy with a better chance of rain.
high: 21C (70F)

SUNDAY: mostly cloudy with occasional fog. periods of rain likely.
high: 21C (69F)

MONDAY: cloudy with some fog... rain and thunderstorms likely.
high: 19C (67F)
