...and it just keeps coming. i recorded a brand new 1.3" (3.3cm) of rain overnight here at the top of mcleod ganj. later this morning we'll see what the amount near the main temple was. currently it's mostly cloudy and 17C/63F.
the forecast is nearly on autopilot these days. there are major discrepancies among the various computer models, which flip-flop back and forth each 12 hour period with the timing of heavy rain events. we'll continue to see occasional bouts of moderate to heavy rain, with a little thunder at times. in between, there will be glimpses of sunshine, along with periods of thick fog and clouds. you know the drill by now!! as i mentioned the other day, beware of the increasing potential for landslides and mudslides... apparently there have already been some road closures in other parts of himachal pradesh, especially down around shimla and solan.
