weathergeek internet connectivity problems this morning... apologies for the silence.
it was looking like yesterday (monday) might turn out to be rainless, but we ended up getting about a third of an inch (8mm) between 10pm and midnight. that rain continued into the pre-dawn hours, for a total of 0.8" (2cm) near the main temple. then, more moderate to heavy rain this afternoon delivered exactly one inch (2.5cm) at the weathergeek office in upper mcleod ganj, and 1.8" (4.6cm) just above the main temple!! it was nice to have a couple of periods of sunshine though, both early this morning and again during the late afternoon. the high today was a relatively warm 23C/73F.
no satellite pics are coming in this evening, for some reason... but computer model guidance is pointing to a good chance of more rain overnight, through wednesday and thursday. friday could be the driest day of the next several, with rain chances increasing again on saturday. in case you haven't noticed... it is very easy to get an average of 1" (2.5cm) of rain every day during the monsoon... so when we get a relatively dry day, it's likely that we'll make up for it on the following day.
on another note... i found a big leech on my floor this morning. first time that has ever happened.! :-)
