a fantastic november evening is in progress... with mostly clear skies and temps slowly dropping from our high of 64.4F (18.0C) which occurred around 2:30pm. we've had no rainfall today, and the humidity averaged in the 50-55% range.
it looks like there were more rain and snow showers up along the dhauladars this afternoon, but none of that precipitation made it anywhere close to mcleod ganj, as far as i know. check the comments on this morning's post (below) if you are interested in a detailed and comprehensive discussion concerning up-to-date conditions in the mountains and passes!!
the area of disturbed weather in the upper atmosphere that has been hanging around here for the past few days has now moved out, and will gradually be replaced by a ridge of high pressure that is looking unusually strong for this time of year. that means we can expect dry and sunny weather as we head into the new week, with temperatures rising well above normal by the middle of the week. if the forecast pans out, we'll be dealing with temps much more characteristic of early october instead of early november.
